To keep cancer drug treatments and insurance premiums affordable in the longer term, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has introduced a Cancer Drug List (CDL). The CDL comprises clinically proven and more cost-effective cancer drug treatments (i.e., drugs paired with specified clinical indications, dosage form & strength, for which the drugs can be administered)

The Medisave accounts can be used to pay for approved medical expenses, including hospitalisation, certain outpatient treatments, and various health screenings. Medisave can be utilised by the patient themselves or their immediate family members.

Medifund is a medical endowment fund designed to help needy Singaporeans who have difficulties paying for their medical expenses, even after receiving government subsidies and utilising their Medisave.

MAF is designed to provide financial aid to Singaporean residents who require assistance with the cost of their medications. The fund helps individuals with chronic conditions and other long-term illnesses, by subsidising the cost of essential medications. Eligible residents can receive financial support to offset a portion of their medication expenses, ensuring that they have access to the necessary treatments without bearing an excessive financial burden.
