Stories of Hope

“My name is Petrina. I am a voice coach, actress and a former radio broadcaster and here is my story as a caregiver during my mother's lung cancer journey."

My caregiver journey

Petrina Kow shares her story as a caregiver during her mother’s lung cancer journey. She recalls how she supported her mother during this time, and how her mother’s diagnosis was the inspiration behind her decision to be a voice coach.

Petrina also wants caregivers of people living with cancer to know the important role that they play in supporting their loved ones’ diagnosis and treatment journey.

“It’s important to know that as a caregiver, you’re not alone. As much as possible, you should surround yourself with help, and ensure that you are also cared for. Find people that you can trust and share with them how you’re feeling,” says Petrina.
